We can still have skipping club
That she will be nice
That we could start to have a science fair
We will still have Folkdance Jamboree
That she will still give out recess balls and equipment like Mrs. Bedford
That she will feel welcome
We can still have kilometre club
That she will do On TRACK principal’s treat days
That our school will still be really clean
That she won’t put French in our dance studio room
That she will fix our instruments so that they play properly

Here is what our February on TRACK students had to say about the ARTS:
- “We can express ourselves!”
- “When we are young we have a chance to try lots of different arts – you might not when you get older.”
- “So you can use your creativity.”

- “It’s the fun kind of work.”
- “We learn new, cool stuff.”
- “When you do arts more it becomes more exciting, and easier too.”
- “You have to learn how to work as a team when you do arts together.”

Student quotes from the previous months:

WHAT HELPS YOU TO FEEL SAFE HERE AT TIMBERBANK JR. P.S.?
Ø We have rules to help us like, don’t run inside, don’t grab
Ø We have yard duty teachers to help us outside
Ø We learn strategies for when we get mad
Ø People are not rude at this school
Ø In an emergency the teachers will give us instructions – we just need to listen
Ø Just meeting and talking with the principal at these lunches helps us think about what we are doing and saying
Ø We have not had trespassers at this school but, we know what to do if we do
Ø We don’t see weapons at our school
Ø We don’t have serious bullies here
Ø We have friends to support us when we have a problem

WHAT COULD WE DO DIFFERENTLY TO MAKE THINGS SAFER AT TIMBERBANK ?
Ø We can remind drivers of safety in our parking lot and on the road at the front of the school
Ø We can keep practicing our strategies for what to do when you are angry or mad
Ø We can stop excluding people by learning what exclusion feels like
Ø Don’t blame one person for losing a game – have good sportsmanship
Ø Just use respect for others!
